Marshall As50d 50w Acoustic Guitar Amp Review

Marshall

Hi, just a little advice please.Coming from an acoustic background, I like a totally clean sound and know very little of valves/overdrives/distortion etc.I am running my Taylor T5 into the AS50D, DI'ing (not mic'ing) into my PA. The T5 is active and has quite a high output. At a 'loud' gig last night, I was at times controlling the guitar volume from the guitar itself, and thought I heard some kind of overdrive/compression from the AMP, so the question is.Is it possible to overdrive the input of the AS50D or will it accept any signal level or, does it have some sort of compression built in and would it naturally produce a valve type 'overdriven' sound if the input gain is too high?Any advice greatly appreciated, cheers.Brian.
