  1. Pro Bono Patent Program

Every successful product, service, business or social enterprise begins with one thing: a really good idea. As maker spaces and coding boot camps proliferate around the world, and the rate of change quickens exponentially, now more than ever, a good idea can come from anywhere. Yet, the path from invention to patent requires access to resources that low-income inventors, makers, and social entrepreneurs may not always have. That’s where we come in. With the assistance of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the America Invents Act, and in collaboration with firms around the Commonwealth, PA Patent is the statewide program for providing under-resourced inventors, makers, startups and nonprofits with the assistance of pro bono patent attorneys. The PVLA and the volunteer attorney’s efforts do not include representation in cases requiring litigation. Installer odbc hyper file sans windev forums. The PVLA makes this clear to prospective clients.

Often, a client seeks assistance to avert litigation. Litigation can commence regardless of that assistance. The PVLA does not expect its volunteers to engage in the litigation portion of representation and will not bind its volunteers to such representation. Volunteers are free to represent clients during the litigation phase, but the representation will not be under the auspices of PVLA.
